You will complete the tasks below to see how World War One directly caused World War Two to take place. With your groups, you will analyze each of the documents through discussion of the guided questions. You will also want to take notes in your notebook, as they will be valuable to you when you develop your answer for the performance task at the end of the unit.
1.Read excerpts from the link below on the Treaty of Versailles. This was a treaty made between the Allied powers (the U.S. and England) and the Central powers(Germany). There were more countries involved on each side, but the Treaty was specifically directed towards Germany.
2. Look at the two maps below. The Treaty of Versailles also changed the geography of Europe. Answer the following using these maps: a. What countries borders were the most affected by World War One? b. How did Europe change from the start of the war to the end of the war? c. How might these changes lead to conflicts in Europe later on. Give at least two possible ideas.
Homework: Log onto Google classroom and respond to the following: Explain how World War One contributed to the start of World War Two. Include specific details from the informational texts you looked at above to support your answer. Write your answer in complete sentences.
